Thursdays with Kristy

Wow, we got a whopping 9.25 lbs. or 5 quarts!!! Does anyone have any 2 quart wide mouth canning jars I could buy from you? We're getting so much milk so we need some bigger jars to store it in. Also just a reminder, we're selling the milk if anyone is interested. $3 for a half gallon and $5 for a gallon. Everyone that has tried it loves it and says they cannot tell the difference between the goats milk and whole cows milk. If you'd like to come over and give it a try just let me know.

I'm thankful for....Arlen's job. He is officially back to work as of today!!! His boss also now has enough jobs lined up to last them through the year. We are truly blessed. Praise the Lord! I'm so thankful for his job and his boss Bob is very good to him. Most of you know that we only have one vehicle. We have been a one car family since 2004 and most of the time it works really well for us. The only time its been tough has been when Arlen has to take the car to work because then I'm stuck all day with no vehicle. But since working for Bob, Arlen has a company truck with a gas card and I'm so thankful for that. We also bought Bob's Suburban from him and it has been working out so well for us. It is so, so much better than trying to squeeze all the kids into the back seat of the small car we had.

I'm listening to....Arlen watching the news.

What's for dinner tonight....meat loaf, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, chocolate cake and of course goat milk!

What I'm looking forward to....getting the greenhouse all planted. Theya and I have been working on starting leeks and this weekend I think we're going to plant the lettuce and tomatoes.

What's happening this week....yard work, planting the green house, fencing, giving the goats shots and I've got to get the colt named, any suggestions?

I am missing....being allergy free. My allergies have been giving me a lot of trouble today. I can't believe they are this bad even with medication, saline and eye drops. I love spring but I can't wait to have some relief from these allergies.

Please feel free to copy this format and use in your own blog. I'd love to hear how your week is going too!
