Saying Good-Bye

I should have posted this before me moved but needless to say I just didn't have time. We had many good-byes to say and it was difficult for everyone.

Arlen and the kids are saying good-bye to the goats. Theya has her arms around Sage. The kids talk about the goats often and I know everyone really misses the goats, especially Arlen. I even find myself wanting to go home at times to check on the animals, LOL!

Arlen is milking Sage for the last time.
Sage always leaned around to give Arlen kisses.
Getting ready to milk Huckle.
Enjoying Alfalfa, yum!
Clarabelle! What a fun pig. Arlen taught her how to sit and she was so social and talkative. We were allowed to take her across the border with us in our freezer. It is the best pork we've ever eaten and we would all love to raise a pig again next year. I think its one of the funniest animals to have on a farm.
A couple of weeks before we moved we got a call from one of Arlen's Uncle and Aunt that live in Vancouver. They called because his Grandpa and another Uncle were out visiting from Alberta and they asked if we could get together for breakfast. It was the boys first time to meet their Great Grandpa and Theya hasn't seen him since she was 17 months old so we had to take a picture. Kalen, Arlen, Arlen's Dad and this Grandpa all share the same middle name. We'll probably get to see him a little more now that we live in the same country and province.
Saying good-bye to my Grandma Rosalie.
Saying good-bye to my Grandma Alma.
Saying good-bye to my Grandma Carol and my Grandpa George.
Hopefully it won't be too long before we can see everyone again.

Love the pictures. It still pricks my heart every time we drive past to see your once bustling little family farm all silent and dark. Still no new neighbors yet. Your chickens are free ranging around the backyard and that is fun to see. Tom really enjoys those little stinkers, he's quite fond of them!

Great to see the pictures Kristy. I bet it was hard to say goodbye to everyone! What did you do with the goats when you left? Hopefully you can start another "farm" here soon:)
