December Happenings

The boys had a hard time falling asleep in their new room after we moved. It took about 3 weeks before they went to nap and bed without a fight. I check on them before we go to sleep and this is how we found them one night. Kalen was standing on the floor next to Gannon's bed and leaned over right next to Gannon's face sound asleep. I'm glad they can comfort each other.
My Grandma sent our Christmas presents with us when we moved and told us to open them when we decorated for Christmas. The kids each got a set of crocheted ornaments.
The kids had a lot of fun putting them on the tree. We put nothing on the tree this year except lights, and unbreakable ornaments. I lost count but the tree was knocked over more than a dozen times this year.

My Grandma gave Theya this bear that moves and reads the Christmas Story. Gannon absolutely loved it this year and would listen to it over and over. He thought it was great fun to put his fingers in the bears mouth while it was reading so it would bite his fingers.

The kids are painting egg cartons to make silly glasses with.
The finished glasses. When Arlen came home and saw them he said, "Oh, they made Eskimo sun glasses." I guess they did because they just have small hole in the center to look through. Kalen wouldn't put his glasses on.
Having hot chocolate after playing in the snow. Yes, I let my kids drink from glass espresso cups.
