Update on Holly
I just got off the phone with my Mom and she asked me to post this update. Holly just got finished with surgery. The surgery took 5 hours. The first two hours this morning they spent cooling down her body. Before they operate on your brain they have to cool your body temp way down. The surgeon said her AVM was really big and that she is really lucky. He is confident that they got it all. They reattached the piece of her skull with screws. They are raising her body temp and observing her for awhile. My Mom and Monte should be able to see her in about an hour and a half. After the swelling goes down after a couple of days they will do another scan to see if they did remove the entire AVM. She will have a headache for awhile and the surgeon thinks she'll have weakness in her right side but he's not sure. She will be in ICU for today and tomorrow and then in a regular room until Sunday if all goes as planned. Thanks for all the prayers and please keep them coming!

So glad to hear she's doing well! It's really amazing that doctors can do such intricate work to our brains with such success. We'll keep up the prayers for a speedy recovery!
