Easter

The kids have never had an Easter basket but this year we wanted to do a little something. Theya has been asking for a new Bible so we thought Easter morning was a good opportunity to give her a new Bible. She also got a some fingernail polish and of course chocolate.

Kalen and Gannon each got a little gun that shoots flat foam donuts and some chocolate. Kalen was the first to get into the chocolate and he loved it. I found a funny card about why Arlen was better than a chocolate bunny so I got him a chocolate bunny and more chocolate to go with it.

After church we were invited to a friends house for Easter dinner. They have 8 children and the youngest is Theya's age. Their son named Park became Kalen's buddy and we later learned that they both have the same middle name of Nelson which is really unique.

The L family live and work on their ranch and have many animals. The kids all got to ride horse in the afternoon and they loved it. Theya had been led around before on Fire, Angel and Ginger, horses that we had at our house in Washington but the boys never had. Gannon was a little scared and only rode for a little while but Theya and Kalen loved it.

They also have a lot of goats and tons of kids right now and it was so fun to see and pet them. Gannon even helped bottle feed one of the kids and later that night before bed he thanked God that he got to feed a goat. Kalen thanked God for riding horse. We all miss our animals so much and it was a special day for everyone.
