Does Anyone...

...reading this blog use cloth diapers? I am going to be switching the boys over to cloth diapers and there are a lot of different brands out there. If you use cloth diapers would you be so kind as to leave a comment on this blog and give me any helpful advice including what brand you use and why, thanks.

Arlen and I are also looking for any scrap building materials anyone reading this blog might want to get rid of. We are trying to build our chicken coop and goat barn as cheap as we can. If you or anyone you know is looking to get rid of any building materials could you please let us know, thanks you.

Hey Kristy,
I'm not using cloth diapers anymore & can't remember what brand I had when I did, but just wanted to say that I think they're all pretty good out there now. I know when I first got pregnant I wouldn't consider it because I remembered changing my brother's cloth diapers in Africa...flat pieces of cloth with pins that leaked everywhere. I started looking into it & realized they're not like that anymore...I actually really enjoyed using them...especially with disposable liners (very cheap). Good luck finding ones that work for you:)

My good friend Ruth from Blaine has won some big world-wide awards for her diapers at www.snap-ez.com. However, I think they are quite expensive, but have extremely high ratings in the cloth diaper world. Their life has recently been turned upside down(for the good)with a downs syndrome baby and she may be going whole-sale only...but that means great sales! Her all-in-ones are patented and great/easy to use.

Hi neighbor, this is your 'old' neighbor who didn't have the pleasure of having those throw away kind of diapers so I used cloth all the time (well, I did sneak a package of disposables along when we went shopping so I didn't have to drag all those dirty ones everywhere!!!) I actually sewed all my own so if you are a sewer (is that spelled right????) I can tell you how I did it!

Kristy here is the other link i was thinking of. it gives product reviews.
www.diaperpin.com

i have also emailed you a email a friend once sent me to help me get started. We use pockets and fitteds with covers in this house. I love the fitted for the day without a cover to let his little bum breath. I hope this helps and good luck.

YES!!! I use and LOVE my cloth diapers. What you want really depends on a lot of factors: do you want really easy, really cheap, really cute, etc.

For us, price is a big factor, but also for Micah as a STAH Papa, he wants ease. If I had to recommend one kind, it would be fuzzibunz. They are my absolute favorite, but not perfect, diaper. Google them, or email me and I can give you more info than you ever wanted to know. I SO wish we lived close, b/c I have a HUGE stash I would totally let you puruse and borrow. :) I've been so blessed to get lots of hand-me-downs from other cloth diaper mamas.

Be careful, I know it sounds weird, but cloth diapering can be addictive. :)

Also,
Feel free to call my parents. I'm sure my dad has some scrap something Arlen could use and he's always happy to share, plus you live so close. If you drive by and see his truck, feel free to stop by and just ask him. :)

Hey Kristy! :) We use some cloth diapers that are great! They're Kushies brand that we got through WalMart.com, believe it or not! The price is amazing and they've been great for us. We just bought some extra cloth liners that they have at WalMart & KMart, to use at night time. Just DON'T use OxyClean on them! I read that somewhere, and I think we ruined ours. I have yet to soak them and see if I can "fix" them from their horrible ammonia smell now, but we'll see. Hope this is helpful! They're super easy to use (velcro tabs) and I highly recommend them!
