Thursdays with Kristy

I'm thankful for...my husband. He's sitting on the couch right now looking at a seed and plant catalog that arrived today with his order of seeds. He's been working on planning out the garden and ordered his seeds last week from a great online company. He's also been working on cleaning out the barn for the arrival of our goats and has it almost finished. It has been a huge job. Thank you Arlen for all your hard work in providing for us, I appreciate you very much.

I'm also very thankful that our car sold on Monday and on Tuesday I picked up our new Suburban. I'm so excited because I can now go somewhere by myself with all the kids. I couldn't in our car because our triple stroller didn't fit but now I've got lots of room. Although I still can't buy much if I go to the grocery store because I have no where to put the groceries. Maybe I could tie a wagon to the triple stroller. That would be a site!

I'm listening to...the washer, dryer and Arlen talk to me about different plants from time to time as he reads his catalog.

What's for dinner tonight....Homestyle lentils and Rice, salad and Arlen's homemade bread. I love lentils, what a great easy thing to make for dinner. Arlen's bread turned out so good.

What I'm looking forward to...seeing my sister Jaime tomorrow. This will be her first time here since December 2007. The older two kids don't have school tomorrow so Jaime and all four kids are coming to the States for a visit. I'm so excited and so is Theya. She thanked God tonight in her prayers that her cousins are coming tomorrow.

What's happening this week....building a pen and milking stand in the barn for the goats arrival. And hopefully the weather will cooperate so we can put a fence up outside for the goats.

I am missing....my husband's job. Arlen's now been unemployed for a little over 4 weeks. Does anyone want to hire him to do anything? He can build or fix most anything.

Hey - good news that your car sold and you will love your 'burban!! I need to follow in Arlen's footsteps and get on with the seed catalogs -- I also really need to clean out the greenhouses from last years -mess!!! Sigh!
