Thursdays with Kristy

We've been busy this week so I thought I'd share some pictures of what we've been up to.

Arlen working on the gate for the outside pen for the goats. The goats enjoying their pen for the first time. They were so happy to be out of the barn for the first time in four days.

Arlen holding one of the kids.
Me and one of the kids, they're so cuddly.
I decided to let the boys have a bowl and spoon last night at dinner. It was a huge mess but they had a lot of fun.
The moon sets have been so amazing the last few days. This picture doesn't do it justice.
We got the goats on Saturday and Arlen milked that night for the first time but we had to throw the milk out because we didn't have our milking supplies yet. We wormed the goats on Sunday and you're not suppose the drink the milk for three days while the medication is in their system. We got the milking supplies on Tuesday and the cheese making supplies on Wednesday.
This morning was the first time we were able to keep the milk. We got almost 2 quarts from Sage this morning. The milk was the absolute best milk we've ever tasted. I can see why 9 out of 10 people prefer goat milk to cow milk in blind taste tests. Just look how good it looks! I'm so excited for the neighbors when they start to milk their goat.
This is a picture of Theya taking out the compost bucket this morning. It was quite heavy and she was using two hands to lug it out to the garden. She's becoming a good farm girl and loves the goats. Gannon and Kalen really like the goats too. Kalen always reaches out to touch them and Gannon has a perma grin when we're by the goats.

I'm thankful for...the wonderful goat milk and ability to make all the yogurt and cheese we want. Thank you Arlen for milking, we all appreciate it very much. We got three and a half quarts of milk today!!!

I also got the wipes finished this week and they are great. They work so much better than disposable wipes at cleaning the boys bums.

Theya decided to potty train again on Tuesday. I had her potty trained before the boys were born but she decided she didn't want to go on the toilet anymore. Then all of a sudden on Tuesday she wanted to use the toilet again. She went the entire day without a single accident!!! I'm so excited to only have two in diapers.

I'm listening to...the baby monitor, the dryer and 'The Office".

What's for dinner tonight....leftover roast beef (I'm so thankful we got a quarter of a beef cow before Arlen lost his job), mashed potatoes, gravy and mixed veggies.

What I'm looking forward to...getting my new cloth diapers and wool soakers. I wish I would have used cloth diapers with Theya.

What's happening this week....spring cleaning, making yogurt, celebrating my Mom's 50th Birthday, getting ready for the chickens and Arlen's parents are coming to visit.

I am missing....Arlen's job, its now been a month and a half without it. We've been doing pretty good and we know God will provide but we have had tough moments.
